Swiss Inpayment Slips

The orange inpayment slip (Einzahlungsschein ESR) with a reference number is common for electronic invoicing. In Switzerland ESR’s are the evolution of the normal inpayment slip, where account, amount and a reference number are computer readably encoded on it which an optical character recognition machine can read. This lowers processing times, saves fees from the recipient of the money and also identifies the sender with a code set by the issuer of the bill.

Based on code I used in several payment software projects, I converted some of my programs to an online version. Hence, find below links to my tools to manage Swiss inpayment slips.

• Generate/encode the code-line and reference-nuber given the invoic slip account data and amount.
• Decode/retrieve beneficiary account number, amount and invoice-number given the code-line of the inpayment slip.

At the moment, these tools are provided in German only, as they are very specific to Switzerland.
